Job Description
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in Dr. Yi Huang's lab at Dept. of Internal Medicine of Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa to study the epigenetic roles in breast cancer development and therapeutic response. A successful candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in the Biomedical Sciences, and a good publication record in cancer research and anticancer drug development. A background in molecular biology and caner pharmacology with particular emphasis on cell culture, molecular cloning, animal models, and/or cancer therapeutics is desirable. The PI's lab is supported by NIH funding and has enriched research experience and established experimental skills in breast cancer biology and uses a broad range of techniques to study the mechanisms underlying breast cancer tumorigenesis and development, including (1) genomic and epigenomic profiling, genotyping, multiplex immunoassay, CRISPR/Cas9 technology and library screening, various cancer biology and epigenetic tools; (2) multiple immunological approaches to study chemokine/cytokine function, T cell-mediated responses and antibody-based immunotherapy; (3) utilization of multiple mouse models to study in vivo therapeutic response.
