Job Description

Compensation:
$120,000 - $170,000 Role Overview The Structural Biologist III collaborates across biology, bioinformatics, software engineering, and clinical teams to design tools and methodologies leveraging biomolecular structural data to guide clinical decisions. Key Responsibilities Provide structural biology support for variant analyses through structure-function relationship interpretation. Develop novel methods, protocols, and tools for structural modeling, molecular dynamics, and clinical variant assessment on internal platforms. Partner with statisticians and data scientists to validate algorithms and data collection workflows. Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Bioinformatics, R D, and reporting teams for clinical research projects. Write testable, production-grade code adhering to SDLC standards and code review best practices. Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases while mentoring junior staff. Direct and lead the structural team through both soft and explicit leadership ensuring timely project completion Support, inform, and educate leadership and stakeholders about project progress and blockers.
Qualifications & Competencies Education:
PhD in computational biology, structural biology, biophysics, bioinformatics, or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of R D experience in computational structural biology or related fields, including at least 2 years of post-doctoral or industrial experience and 2 years management experience.
Technical Skills:
Fluency/proficiency in scripting/languages (Python, R, Perl, C/C++, Java, SQL) and bioinformatics/modeling software. Strong background in systems biology, molecular dynamics, and experimental techniques (X-ray, Cryo-EM).
