The Leuthner Lab at Indiana University (The O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs) seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research program in environmental genomics. The postdoctoral researcher will have flexibility to define their own research agenda, but a successful candidate will be broadly interested in contributing to projects investigating gene-environment interactions, chemical susceptibility, and effects of exposure on evolutionary processes with a focus on emerging contaminants such as PFAS. Research integrates Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans ) as a model system with approaches including: Quantitative genetics (GWAS/QTL mapping) High-throughput phenotyping RNA-seq and multi-omics integration Functional genomics (e.g., RNAi, transgenics) The postdoctoral scholar will have opportunities to lead independent projects, mentor undergraduate researchers, and contribute to grant writing and publications.

Basic Qualifications Required:

Ph.D. in biology, toxicology, genomics, genetics, bioinformatics, or a closely related field (completed by start date) Experience with molecular biology, genetics, or model organism research Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research (e.g., publications, dissertation work) Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred:
