Contract Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Molecular Biology Scientist to support high-throughput molecular biology workflows in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with molecular biology and microbiology techniques and a demonstrated commitment to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience or a Master's degree and 2+ years of experience are encouraged to apply. Candidates with strong relevant experience beyond the minimum requirements are also welcome. PhD candidates should not apply. Key Responsibilities Perform high-throughput PCR, cloning, and analytical workflows according to established SOPs. Follow GLP and HSE requirements consistently in daily laboratory activities. Execute molecular biology experiments accurately, efficiently, and independently. Perform and troubleshoot techniques including PCR, restriction digestion, cloning, Gibson Assembly, agarose gel electrophoresis, and bacterial transformation. Analyze and interpret experimental data and communicate results effectively. Present experimental findings and results during team and group meetings as needed. Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation. Learn new techniques and workflows quickly and contribute effectively in a fast-paced research environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience , OR Master's degree in a related scientific discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience . Strong hands-on molecular biology experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly follow SOPs and laboratory procedures. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of learning quickly. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Strongly Preferred Experience Demonstrated daily adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and HSE regulations .Hands-on experience with:
PCR Restriction digestion Molecular cloning Gibson Assembly Agarose gel electrophoresis Bacterial transformation Experience with high-throughput molecular biology workflows. Nice to Have Experience with Benchling electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) . Experience independently designing, executing, troubleshooting, and interpreting experiments. Experience presenting scientific results to research teams.Work Location Waltham, Massachusetts Compensation:
