Job Summary The function of the Product Development Organization is to provide Engineering Services in support of prototype to concept stage realization of Medical Device Product Innovations for start-ups to Fortune 100 sized clients. The Biosimulation lab is an extension of product development, offering complementary device testing services with anatomically representative models. The Biosimulation Lab Specialist I collaborates with global biosimulation teams and supports lab operations in alignment with Resolution's core values while adhering to all applicable regulations and company procedures.Note:
This position is part-time and anticipated to work approximately 24 hours per week. Following an initial training period, the Biosim Lab Specialist schedule is flexible between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday and will be driven by the employee's preferences.Essential Functions:
Performs tissue preparation for animal and human specimens, including but not limited to dissecting out, preserving, repairing (suturing) and cannulating tissues. Decontaminates lab and tools after handling human tissues. General lab cleaning and maintenance. Tracks inventory and reports low inventory to appropriate lab staff. Responsible for the restocking of all lab supplies including synthetic, animal and human tissues for test models, and consumables (guidewires, introducers, etc.). Collaborates with concept & development engineers to support testing needs. Adheres to OSHA requirements, biosafety guidelines, and internal quality standards for lab operations. Collaborates closely with the global team, supporting cross-site knowledge sharing and process alignment. Maintains a high level of preparedness for client studies through organization, equipment readiness, and workflow optimization. May be trained to operate Fluoroscopy, as needed. May assist with biosimulation studies in the future.Requirements:

Associate's degree or current coursework in biology, Physiology, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, Animal Science, Veterinary Science or related biological/medical sciences preferred. Experience in a laboratory setting or experience handling animal or human organs preferred. A combination of equivalent experience and/or education will be considered. Exposure to surgical terminology, anatomy (cardiac preferred) and surgical technique preferred. Background in veterinary medicine preferred (i.e. Drug interactions, bypass, etc.). Excellent work ethic required. Must be able to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency. Strong Analytical / problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to collect, summarize and report technical information. Ability to handle and be trusted with confidential and/or sensitive information. Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Ability to be flexible and to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner. Willingness to learn the functions of fluoroscopy. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing while wearing lead (up to 8 hours/day). Ability to perform laboratory bench work requiring prolonged standing or seated positioning and sustained visual focus on materials at a work surface. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times unassisted. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination for tissue prep, imaging, and device manipulation. Must wear PPE (gown, gloves, eye protection, etc.) as needed. Must be able to work safely with cadaveric tissue, animal tissue, embalming chemicals, and radiation-producing imaging equipment.
