Our automation-first laboratory model combines advanced molecular technology, automation, informatics, and streamlined laboratory operations to provide physicians with clinically actionable results and rapid turnaround times. A major focus of Chronetyx is molecular infectious-disease testing , including pathogen identification and antibiotic-resistance testing. What You Will Sell Our growing infectious-disease testing menu includes: Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) PCR with reflex antibiotic-resistance testing Wound and skin/soft-tissue infection PCR with antibiotic-resistance testing Bacterial Vaginosis Group B Strep Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Respiratory pathogen testing Throat/Pharyngitis testing Additional molecular infectious-disease panels and specialty diagnostic testing Position Overview The Laboratory Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new physician and healthcare accounts while growing existing relationships within an assigned territory. This is a business-development-focused sales position . We are looking for someone who is comfortable prospecting, gaining access to healthcare decision-makers, presenting laboratory solutions, closing new accounts, and developing long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate understands clinical laboratory sales and can effectively communicate the value of accurate molecular testing, antibiotic-resistance information, turnaround time, specimen logistics, reimbursement, and physician workflow. Responsibilities Develop new business for Chronetyx molecular and infectious-disease laboratory services. Identify, prospect, and convert physician practices and healthcare organizations within the assigned territory. Build relationships with physicians, administrators, practice managers, nursing leadership, and other healthcare decision-makers. Present and educate clients on UTI PCR testing, Bacterial Vaginosis testing, Group B Strep testing, STI testing, Wound testing, Respiratory testing, Pharyngitis/Strep testing. Explain the clinical and operational advantages of molecular pathogen identification compared with traditional C&S testing approaches. Develop and maintain an active pipeline of prospective accounts. Conduct regular in-person sales calls, presentations, lunches, meetings, and follow-up activities. Coordinate with Chronetyx laboratory operations, client services, billing, informatics, and logistics teams to successfully onboard new accounts. Maintain detailed sales activity, account information, target lists, forecasts, and next steps. Meet or exceed assigned sales activity, revenue, and specimen-volume goals. Who We Are Looking For Previous clinical laboratory sales experience is strongly preferred and may be considered a requirement for certain territories. We have a particularly strong interest in candidates with prior experience selling: Molecular infectious-disease testing PCR-based laboratory testing UTI molecular testing Wound infection testing Antibiotic-resistance testing Respiratory panels STI testing Clinical pathology or specialty laboratory services Prior infectious-disease laboratory sales experience is highly desirable. Candidates with successful prior experience at companies such as Eurofins Diatherix, TEN Healthcare, Infinite Genomics, Vikor Scientific, or similar molecular and infectious-disease laboratories are strongly encouraged to apply. An existing network of physician, practice, long-term care, or healthcare relationships within the assigned territory is a significant advantage. Target Customers Representatives may call on: Urology practices Wound-care centers Primary-care practices Urgent-care centers Long-term care and skilled-nursing facilities Infectious-disease practices Podiatry practices OB/GYN and women's health practices Multi-specialty physician groups Hospitals and health systems Other healthcare organizations with significant infectious-disease testing needs Qualifications 2+ years of successful healthcare sales experience preferred. Build on your current book of business by adding new client accounts Clinical laboratory sales experience strongly preferred. Molecular infectious-disease or PCR sales experience highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop, and close new business. Established physician and healthcare relationships within the territory are highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, Biology, Biomedical Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and laboratory reimbursement is preferred. Strong communication internal and external, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to understand and communicate clinical and scientific information. Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to independently develop a territory. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and CRM or sales-management systems. Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements, including drug screening.
