  • Agronomic Research Manager III-Central North Dakota
  • YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The primary responsibilities of this role, Agronomic Research Manager lll-Central North Dakota, are to: + Implement small replicated plots or field scale research testing as required; + Manage data using internal database systems and submit high quality data in a timely manner; + Validate and ensure that field protocol information, site assignments, data collected, and material sourcing (seed/chemistry/samples) are available in a timely manner to the field investigator; + Complete all safety training as required and operate safely when handling pesticides, seed,or other products as well as vehicles and equipment used to conduct field trials; + Lead field safety & DOT training events; + Proficient in ensuring all compliance guidelines are met for various regulated field research activities.
Identifiesways to improve the compliance process; + Proficient at safely operating, maintaining and transporting small plot research and commercial agricultural equipment, while complying with all Bayer& DOT requirements; + Manage & oversee local research site activities; + Recruit and hire temporary assistants and ensure that all required safety, compliance, and equipment training is completed; + Collaborate cross-functionally on field testing, equipment and equipment technology improvement projects; + Assist the Protocol Delivery Team (PDT) and team members in the development of national and regional protocols; + Provides insights and assist the Operational Development Team (ODT) on projects to enhance field testing operations based on expertise developed through research experience & relationships with key influencers; + Enable an efficient, robust field testing and evaluation program through; + Advanced knowledge, understanding, and implementation of internal and federal confined field trial compliance requirements; + Expanded expertise with the latest geo-spatial technologies & leading improvement projects; + Advanced modern equipment expertise and field trail testing methods; + Product development, compliance management, and aid in the development of tailored solutions recommendations for the local geography

  • Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree in agriculture or related discipline; + Advanced knowledge of crop production in an assigned geography which includes all or some of corn, canola, soybean, cotton, cereals, vegetables, and specialty crops; + Advanced knowledge of precision farming/GIS systems; + Obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator certification in the state (s) within the territory; + Hold a current Commercial Driver License (CDL), or have ability to obtain one;
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree in agriculture or related discipline with minimum of 8+ years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development or R D related roles; Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $92,880.00 - $139,320.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
