Overview Kind Bio is developing new approaches to tissue engineering and building a multidisciplinary team spanning reproductive biology, embryology, animal science, and translational research. We are a small, highly collaborative organization where team members work closely across disciplines and are expected to contribute beyond their defined role. The environment is hands-on, fast-moving, and practical, with an emphasis on reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, and shared responsibility for keeping research operations running smoothly. We are seeking a reliable, organized Research Associate II with hands-on laboratory and animal experience. This is a practical, bench-focused role for someone who is comfortable managing animal colonies, performing routine laboratory procedures, keeping accurate records, and maintaining an organized laboratory. The ideal candidate has broad laboratory experience , strong attention to detail, and a track record of completing assigned tasks accurately and on time. Responsibilities Manage rodent colony, including breeding, weaning, identification, and record keeping. Perform routine animal handling, monitoring, husbandry, and post-procedure observations. Maintain genetically engineered and other specialized mouse colonies. Assist with animal dosing, sample collection, necropsy, tissue collection, and in vivo studies. Collect samples and perform routine genotyping, including DNA extraction, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Assist with embryo collection, embryo dissection, and related reproductive biology procedures. Prepare reagents, supplies, and laboratory equipment. Maintain accurate experimental and animal records. Keep laboratory, animal work areas, supplies, and equipment clean and organized. Follow SOPs, IACUC protocols, and animal welfare requirements. Reliably complete assigned tasks and communicate problems or abnormal findings promptly. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, animal science, veterinary technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Previous experience working with laboratory animals, preferably rodents, larger animals is a plus. Broad hands-on laboratory experience. Comfortable performing routine bench laboratory procedures. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable and able to complete tasks independently. Able to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures. Preferred Experience Mouse breeding and colony management. Genetically engineered mouse models. PCR and genotyping. Animal dosing and tissue collection. Embryo collection or dissection. Familiarity with IACUC and laboratory animal care requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to work directly with laboratory animals, stand for extended periods, lift and move cages and laboratory supplies, and wear required PPE.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
