Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Pathophysiology Instructor to join our dynamic faculty team. In this role, you will deliver engaging instruction on the biological mechanisms underlying disease processes, helping students develop a comprehensive understanding of human health and illness. Your expertise will inspire future healthcare professionals and support their success in clinical practice and academic pursuits. Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive lectures on pathophysiology topics, integrating current research and clinical applications Design and update curriculum materials aligned with higher education standards and learning outcomes Utilize learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to facilitate online instruction, assessments, and student engagement Mentor students through individual guidance, fostering their academic growth and professional development Collaborate with faculty colleagues on curriculum development, research projects, and interdisciplinary initiatives Incorporate laboratory experiences, dissection techniques, microscopy, and other practical activities to enhance understanding of anatomy, cell biology, histology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology Ensure adherence to institutional policies on abuse and neglect prevention while maintaining a safe learning environment Requirements Advanced knowledge of physiology, anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, epidemiology, biostatistics, ecology restoration, bioinformatics, molecular biology, virology, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, histology, microscopy, quantum engineering, AI applications in healthcare, data collection methods, machine learning techniques, Python programming language proficiency, Linux operating system familiarity, C++, MATLAB skills, Java knowledge, discrete math understanding, calculus and differential equations expertise, trigonometry familiarity, working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds in higher education settings Proven experience in university-level teaching or online instruction within the sciences or health sciences disciplines Strong research background with a record of publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals and securing research grant funding Laboratory experience including dissection and microscopy techniques; familiarity with research setting procedures is highly desirable Ability to develop engaging teaching philosophies that incorporate higher education pedagogy instruction and active student mentoring Knowledge of learning technology platforms such as Blackboard or similar LMS tools for course management and online delivery Excellent communication skills with a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that supports adult learners in science education Join us to make a meaningful impact by shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals through innovative teaching and dedicated mentorship!
