Job Description
Postdoctoral Associate
Required Qualifications:
- (as evidenced by an attached resume) Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences or a closely related field. Ability to demonstrate professional competence in research activities; with research experience in a laboratory setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in wetlab (cell culture, western blot, RT-qPCR, cloning). Candidates with a strong background in bacteria pathogenesis, multi-omics data analysis, and mammalian cell culture. Have a strong first author publication. Recent graduates with a background in biological sciences, a history of academic productivity, and excellent references.
Brief Description of Duties:
- The Liu Laboratory (https://sites.
- Protein, RNA and DNA preparation and analyses; mammalian cell culture with sterile techniques.
- Data analysis and participate in manuscript writing for publication.
- Participate in weekly lab meetings, and other duties/projects as assigned.
- Assist in ordering supplies to keep the lab inventory well stocked.
- Regular maintenance of lab equipment.
- Miscellaneous lab duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
