The research interests of our laboratory lie at the intersection of image-guided interventions, cancer biology and molecular imaging. Our lab seeks to unravel the influence of the tumor's metabolic microenvironment on cancer cells as well as non-cancerous stromal cells in modulating tumor progression and response to therapy. The lab utilizes a multidisciplinary approach from in vivo animal models of cancer, biochemistry, molecular biology, and molecular imaging strategies. Our research emphasizes translation with the ultimate goal of leveraging our findings to develop novel imaging and therapeutic strategies for patients.
