0-2 years Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Scientist to join our laboratory team in Swiftwater, PA. This position will support research and laboratory activities focused on recombinant baculovirus generation, protein expression, insect cell culture, and molecular biology . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to plan, execute, analyze, and document laboratory experiments in a collaborative environment. Experience with baculovirus protein expression systems and insect cell cultures is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Generate recombinant baculovirus, including WVB activities. Perform protein expression using baculovirus/insect cell systems in shake flasks. Perform cell maintenance, transfection, infection, and harvesting of viral stocks from suspension cultures. Sample culture flasks and prepare samples for analytical testing. Perform standard molecular biology techniques, including: DNA purification PCR Western blot

Perform titer assays. Apply appropriate aseptic techniques throughout laboratory activities. Wash glassware and USP process equipment. Design, execute, analyze, and document laboratory experiments. Maintain accurate electronic records and laboratory notebooks. Effectively communicate experimental results during group and department meetings. Support laboratory organization, reagent tracking, and ordering. Coordinate data capture and tracking activities. Write and review laboratory protocols and reports. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable SOPs, SWIs, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology , or another relevant scientific discipline. 0-2 years of experience working in an academic or industry laboratory environment. Hands-on experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques . Ability to plan and conduct laboratory experiments and evaluate and interpret experimental data. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple assignments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Willingness to work changing schedules and hours as needed. Fluent in written and spoken English. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint . Preferred Qualifications Experience with baculovirus protein expression systems . Experience working with insect cell cultures . Experience in recombinant protein expression. Additional experience with molecular biology techniques and analytical assays. Schedule The standard shift/training schedule is N/A .
