Charles River is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician - Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) to perform advanced laboratory testing and data analysis in a GMP-regulated environment. This role is responsible for executing complex NGS workflows, interpreting results, troubleshooting assays, supporting method development activities, and ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology, genomics, and next generation sequencing technologies. What You'll Do Perform advanced laboratory activities related to Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) testing services. Execute and troubleshoot complex molecular biology assays and sequencing workflows. Analyze, interpret, and summarize test results and experimental data. Support method development, validation, and qualification activities. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely laboratory documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements. Review and edit SOPs, protocols, reports, and testing documentation. Participate in technology transfers, client communications, conference calls, and technical discussions. Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and testing activities. Train and mentor junior laboratory personnel on established procedures and techniques. Maintain laboratory equipment and support routine laboratory operations. Follow all SOPs, STMs, safety requirements, and quality standards. Contribute to a safe, compliant, and collaborative laboratory environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, or a related scientific discipline Minimum of 2 years of industry laboratory experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or contract laboratory environment Experience with molecular biology techniques and laboratory documentation Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows and data interpretation Knowledge of cGMP regulations and quality systems Experience supporting method development, validation, or qualification studies Familiarity with DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, library preparation, and genomics applications Experience training or mentoring laboratory staff Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
