Job Description

Lord & Winter is seeking a motivated Staff Scientist I to support natural resource and environmental projects throughout Tennessee and the Southeast. This hybrid role includes a mix of field work, office collaboration, and remote work.
Responsibilities:
Conduct wetland delineations, stream assessments, and ecological field investigations. Collect field data, GPS points, photographs, and site documentation. Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance projects. Prepare technical reports, figures, and project documentation. Work closely with Project Managers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, or related field. Minimum 2 years of environmental consulting or natural resources experience. Strong technical writing and organizational skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally.
