Job Description

One of our clients in the biotech industry is looking to hire a Scientific Business Analyst for Requirement Engineering and Testing. 6+ month contract (with potential extensions)
Hybrid Schedule:
2 days/week in Worcester, 1 day/week in Cambridge (Mon & Fri remote)
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document scientific and business requirements for R D workflows Translate lab processes into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria Support implementation of scientific software (ELN, LIMS, data/automation platforms) Develop and execute test plans, including UAT, regression testing, and defect tracking Map and optimize scientific workflows; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design solutions Serve as the bridge between bench scientists and engineering/IT groups Provide user support, training, and guidance during rollout and adoption Contribute to validation activities to ensure systems meet scientific and operational needs
Qualifications:
5+ years wet‑lab experience (biology or chemistry) Experience with R D informatics tools (ELN, LIMS, automation, data platforms) Background in requirements gathering, workflow design, and documentation Hands‑on experience with software testing and UAT processes Strong communication skills and ability to work across scientific + technical teams If this is something you'd be interested in please send over a copy of your resume and I can give you a call.
