Regional Government Services and its staff are conducting this recruitment on behalf of the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority.
The PositionThis is a professional classification that performs a wide variety of responsible, project-based, complex, and analytical work. Responsibilities may include assisting with planning and implementing vegetation treatment projects including, but not limited to, the chipper program, defensible space adjacent to homes and communities, roadside vegetation management, shaded fuel breaks, and prescribed herbivory operations to improve wildfire safety and minimize risks. Incumbents provide field and office support to senior staff during planning and implementation of vegetation management activities. Assignments involve considerable outdoor work, including travel by vehicle and on foot to perform pre-work surveys for nesting birds or other biological resources, manage crews conducting vegetation management activities, and perform any needed monitoring.
This position is anticipated to work in a hybrid fashion, working on-site and remotely. Field activity can be expected when working on-site.
