Job Description
Senior Research Scientist, Internal Medicine-Nephrology

- To support the research initiatives of the University.
- Job Duties:
- + Evaluates, selects and applies standard scientific techniques and procedures while using judgment when necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques.
+ Contributes to scientific analysis and interpretation of projects.
+ Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected, compiles and tabulates data, provides analysis of results.
+ Confers with lab staff regarding results obtained and receives suggestions for modification to procedures and interpretation of final data.
+ Presents research and journal articles in weekly scheduled meetings.
+ Presents abstracts or oral presentations at campus events and external conference opportunities.
+ Independently performs literature searches as outlined by the Principal Investigator.
+ Guides junior research staff in experimental methodologies.
+ May submit training grants as PI.
+ Performs related duties as required.
- Required Skills:
- + Animal models + Cell culture + Molecular biology techniques
- Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD, MD or DO in biological sciences, chemistry or related field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD degree and 3 - 5 years of related experience
- Salary Range:
- Commensurate with experience.
