DESCRIPTION
The Coating Equipment Technician is responsible to support coatings production, maintenance, and engineering regarding Thermal spray torch assemblies and the overall system, robotic equipment, data collection systems, media blasting equipment and a coating systems preventive maintenance program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform all troubleshooting analysis, maintenance and repair work for thermal spray and ancillary support equipment (powder and gas delivery equipment/systems and thermal spray control systems) Work with Operations team to resolve problems Assist in the proper training of all coating operations staff as required Assist in the development of future training programs Identify items for recurring reminder trainings Monitor ongoing effectiveness of training Maintain coating systems data collection equipment in operational readiness condition and perform analysis of coating cubicle parameters Responsible for annual robot calibration as required Develops and executes the preventative maintenance procedures for coating systems equipment Assist in troubleshooting and assembly of thermal spray systems, torches, coating powder dispensers, and media blasting dispensers. Execute duties in a safe manner consistent with health and safety policies and practices Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices Understand the importance of designing, building, and operating safe systems. Basic knowledge and understanding of basic safety work processes such as JSA's and MOC's Demonstrate commitment in the successful EH&S management of chemical processes and facilities Other duties as may be needed
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
2 Year Technical School or equivalent Similar past job experience is preferred Robot Operation and Maintenance training, strongly prefer ABB certification or experience Familiar with fundamentals of Statistical Process Control (SPC) Semiconductor industry experience/knowledge desired; however, Other industrial manufacturing experience considered Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent reading, verbal and written communication skills
