Job Description
The TGCM Technician operates, monitors, and maintains bulk gas and specialty chemical delivery systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, system monitoring, troubleshooting, safety and environmental compliance, emergency response, hazardous waste management, and continuous operational improvement. Job Requirement Perform minor inspections, preventive maintenance, daily rounds, safety inspections, and equipment readings for gas and chemical systems. Monitor online gas/chemical systems and toxic gas monitoring operations; perform chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs. Make initial evaluations of equipment or operational issues and obtain appropriate assistance when needed. Complete all TGCM Tech Level 6 local OJT requirements within 12 months of reaching the job grade. Participate in company and customer programs related to Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance. Follow all HS&E standards and procedures, including PPE, forklift operations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and assigned work procedures. Perform minor analytical and sampling procedures and remain accountable for the safety of employees and the general public around the facility. Manage hazardous waste activities, including transferring materials to the dock storage area, maintaining the area, labeling waste, completing required documentation, and following proper handling procedures. Handle spills and emergencies, pour-up of materials, segregation of compatible materials, waste/container preparation for shipment, and forklift operations. Support waste minimization programs and maintain knowledge of applicable hazardous waste laws and regulations. Skills and Qualifications High School diploma or GED and minimum 2 years of related experience. Semiconductor, chemical/specialty gas, military technical/electronic, nuclear, or equivalent industry experience preferred. Knowledge of onsite reporting procedures, including product acceptance criteria, tank fills, inventory/material usage, monitoring, safety parameters, and personnel requirements. Strong mechanical and electromechanical aptitude. Ability to understand and follow strict safety, environmental, and quality standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn.
