Position Overview:

BEPC is seeking an experienced Gas & Chemical Megasys Technician with Logistics responsibilities to support gas, chemical, slurry, and inventory operations within a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment. This position combines technical equipment support with inventory and logistics responsibilities. The Technician will manage the receipt, movement, tracking, ordering, and return of gas cylinders and chemical ampoules while also supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe operation of gas and chemical delivery systems. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of gas or chemical applications within wafer fabrication, strong inventory management skills, and experience following strict safety, quality, and emergency-response procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, document, store, and return gas cylinders and chemical ampoules. Manage inventory levels and coordinate the ordering of materials from multiple vendors. Track and trend site gas and chemical usage. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory and usage reports for management. Accurately document shipments, deliveries, material movements, and inventory transactions. Use barcode systems to receive, track, and manage materials. Support chemical deliveries, chemical storage activities, and material offloading. Move gas cylinders, chemical ampoules, drums, and other materials using pallet jacks and forklifts. Perform gas cylinder, chemical drum, and ampoule changes on applicable delivery systems. Support the technical requirements of gas, chemical, and slurry distribution equipment. Provide technical support and problem resolution for more than 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment from various manufacturers. Install, commission, decommission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain gas and chemical systems. Perform preventive maintenance and sustaining-operation activities. Support project-related equipment installations, upgrades, and operational improvements. Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement appropriate corrective actions. Write, edit, review, and execute operating and maintenance procedures using Microsoft Word and Excel. Support emergency preparedness and respond appropriately to gas or chemical incidents. Follow all applicable safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Promote a zero-incident culture focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Support inventory-management business objectives, budgets, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Participate in comprehensive on-the-job technical training and qualification programs. Assist with employee training and serve as a subject-matter expert for gas, chemical, or slurry equipment.

Equipment and Systems Supported:

The Technician may support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of systems including: EMD Electronics gas systems Applied Energy Systems gas systems Fuji liquid delivery systems Air Liquide gas and chemical systems Gas, chemical, and slurry distribution equipment from various manufacturers

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of gas or chemical applications within a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment. Knowledge of gas and chemical safety practices, emergency response, and hazardous-material handling. Experience documenting shipments and inventory activities. Experience managing inventory levels and material-ordering processes. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to accurately prepare reports and maintain inventory records. Ability to read, write, edit, and follow operating and maintenance procedures. Ability to safely use material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks. Ability to work independently and resolve technical or inventory-related issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety procedures. Ability to complete required technical training and qualification programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with gas, chemical, or slurry delivery equipment. Experience in semiconductor, wafer fabrication, cleanroom, or high-technology manufacturing operations. Barcode scanning or barcode-based inventory-management experience. Forklift operating experience. Current or previous forklift certification. Experience performing gas cylinder, chemical drum, or ampoule changes. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining gas or chemical distribution systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move gas cylinders, chemical ampoules, and materials weighing more than 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, position, and secure gas cylinders and chemical containers. Ability to operate pallet jacks and occasionally operate a forklift. Ability to perform physical material-handling and equipment-maintenance activities throughout the shift. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with site safety procedures.
