  • Analytical Technologist
  • Strong skills in sample preparation and safe chemical handling.
  • Experience with a variety of laboratory equipment in a chemical laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to laboratory safety; responsible for adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment under tight timelines and competing priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in chemistry, materials science, physics, engineering, or a related field or equivalent knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.

Job Description:
Analytical Technologist The candidate will assume a variety of responsibilities in support of the X-ray, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and Microscopy competencies within Leveraged Analytical Sciences group. This in-person position is located at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE. The candidate will work under the direction of experienced scientists to provide analytical support for research and development (R D), Technical Service and Development (TS&D), and Manufacturing as needed.
  • Key job responsibilities include:
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for analysis, following established procedures.
  • Perform X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, X-ray tomography (XRT), and electron microscopy acquisition and assess basic data quality.
  • Conduct ultramicrotomy to prepare sample cross-sections for analyses.
  • Perform routine instrument operation and maintenance.
  • Dispose of laboratory waste according to established protocols.
  • Perform routine nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) refills, following established procedures.
  • Work hours/days: 40 hours/week
