Qualified candidates should be mechanically inclined, enjoy working outdoors, and want a reliable first-shift schedule. Working 4 ten hour days each week. What You'll Be Doing Read, exchange, and repair residential gas meters and regulators Troubleshoot gas meter issues, AMI modules, ERTs, and associated components Test house lines and restore gas service after meter or regulator changes Relight gas appliances safely Re-bracket meter loops/brace meter loops in order to safely replace gas meter Repair hand-built gas meter loop/manifold (valve and above) Work in confined spaces when needed Complete daily work orders using a company-issued tablet Keep tools, trucks, and work areas clean and safe Follow all safety rules and report unsafe conditions immediately Represent the company professionally at customer locations What You Need to Have Valid state driver's license High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college or trade experience preferred. Be able to pass related Gas Operator Qualifications and sustain certifications (3 year renewal cycles) Ability to pass the NFPA 54 code book exam (class provided by the Company) Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs., kneel, bend, climb stairs, and perform manual labor Strong safety awareness Dependable attendance Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing along with motor vehicle checks are done. Employees are also subject to random drug & alcohol testing.
