Chemical Lab Technician Position Description:

Zaiput is currently seeking candidates to apply for a full-time Chemical Lab Technician position to play an important role in the testing and development of both current and future product lines, as well as potential customer applications. Zaiput's current and forthcoming products cover a wide range of applications from laboratory scale to production units. In this context, we are seeking a Chemical Lab Technician to provide substantial contributions to the testing, quality control, and assessment of our new products under development, current products, as well as potential customer applications. In addition, the successful candidate will also provide support to chemical R&D related activities. The responsibilities of the job will include participating in the design of the testing procedure, building and validating the test apparatus and its results, and providing feedback and relevant observations to continually improve forthcoming and existing products. Responsibilities:

Run lab experiments to assess the performance of Zaiput's technologies Conduct experiments with different Zaiput products for current and new potential customers Help with quality control activities, assembly procedures and testing In charge of maintaining a safe, tidy, and clean lab environment, including glassware Handling, storage, disposal, and inventory of chemicals, waste, and basic lab equipment Run experiments to characterize mass transfer in liquid-liquid extraction systems and reactions Utilize analytical tools such as HPLC to obtain test concentration results Assist engineers with R&D and manufacturing activities, as well as other projects that might rise Assist engineers in writing SOPs or experimental reports/presentations, as needed Work with engineers to define experimental plans and goals Carry out simple experimental calculations, collect and properly represent data

Required Experience:

Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field. Bachelor's degree is preferred At least 1 year of working experience in a chemical laboratory setting is preferred

Desired Skills:

Excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of chemistry Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Flexibility in undertaking and participating in different tasks and activities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and present technical details Excellent task and time management skills Analytical problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team, as well as independently Ability to create and maintain organized records of experiments/collected data Intellectual curiosity with the desire to explore the unknown and innovate Familiarity with analytical tools such as HPLC is a plus
