Job Summary:

New Freedom Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Substance Use Disorder Technician to support individuals receiving substance use disorder treatment in our Minnesota 245G-licensed program. This role provides direct client support, helps maintain a safe and structured environment, and works closely with clinical staff to support individuals in their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:

• Support clients with daily recovery activities and program participation
• Monitor client well-being and report concerns to clinical staff
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
• Document client interactions, observations, and incidents accurately and timely
• Assist with client transportation as needed
• Encourage positive behaviors and recovery-focused routines
• Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality
• Follow all program policies, HIPAA regulations, and 245G requirements
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings

Necessary Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Minnesota driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or recovery support services
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centered care

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 24.0 per week
