POSITION PURPOSE

Assists with the provision of rehabilitation services for persons in recovery from chemical dependency. Technicians are not responsible for admitting, transferring, or discharging clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Efficient work planning Maintains a current knowledge of house and client activities. Plans work tasks to coincide with house schedules. Sets priorities in monitoring client activities, making house rounds, adherence to medication times, documentation of pertinent information and completion of other assignments. Available to clients for questions and other assistance. Handles multiple tasks simultaneously. Is highly dependable and can be counted on to work independently Ability to work with little direction. QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of Human Services Technician Training Program, previous experience in human services and / or healthcare environment. Demonstrated skills in areas related to chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation, including : knowledge and understanding of Rule 31 9530.6405 to 9530.6505, and Minnesota Statutes, sections 245A.04,245A.65, 626.556, and 626.557 knowledge of basic health assessment procedures ability to perform basic client care functions, including monitoring client hygiene and behavior as it relates to health issues. Direct experience with chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation, preferably a minimum of one year experience. Documentation of one year freedom from chemicals. ( if applicable) Must be eighteen years old. CPR / 1stAid / Medication certified or equivalent.
