Sign In Create Account Laboratory Technician II (Chemistry) Cinnaminson, NJ 08077 Apply Overview Salary Range $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Description EMSL is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician II (Chemistry) in Cinnaminson, NJ. The technician supports the laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: air, dust, food, soil, solid, and/or water Operate and maintain basic analytical equipment and instruments Perform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, volumetric measurements, and the utilization of analytical balances Perform basic calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtained Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures and quality control procedures established for each analytical method Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or closely related science required Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25lbs and standing for various lengths of time Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
Available Shifts:
Position is full time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cinnaminson, NJ are encouraged to apply EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account. The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.
