At Storti, we don't just meet expectations—we exceed them. Storti Quality is looking to hire individuals who are looking to work in construction as a Natural Gas Detector Technician. Our team of visual inspectors and NGD installers works across the Bronx and/or Westchester County and are responsible for ensuring natural gas service lines are not leaking and are free of corrosion, while providing a service to the customers and keeping the customers safe. If you do not have prior natural gas experience that is ok! We will provide comprehensive training to prepare you for the job. Individuals with construction, mechanical, or technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time opportunity with over time available. RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform external surface inspection for any visible corrosion Conduct leak testing utilizing a GMI (gas measurement instrument) Reporting results on a mobile device with an installed application Install Natural Gas Detectors (NGD) Maintain a high level of worksite health and safety
REQUIREMENTS
0-3+ years construction experience High School Graduate or equivalent Previous utility customer experience is a plus Knowledge of computer software tools Valid driver's license and personal vehicle Valid Third-party liability auto insurance coverage of at $100K/$300K/$50K, plus collision and comprehensive coverage with deductibles of not more than $1,000.00. OSHA10 Required Ability to carry a load of 40 pounds Ability to climb up and down ladders Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Able to work from time to time in inclement weather Ability to comply with all Client requirements
