(CSI) has thrived for over 50 years in the Cleveland area providing commodity chemicals and blending services to a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, construction, manufacturing, and specialty chemicals. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Profiling Specialist to join our team. Under indirect supervision, the Profiling Specialist will perform in all areas of the laboratory, helping ensure CSI handles hazardous chemicals in a safe manner by correctly analyzing and characterizing waste and unknown samples.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs analysis on all submitted sales samples. Sets up profiles for all new and old waste streams. Assists in the production of internal waste manifests. Assists in maintaining the quality standards of operation. Performs all required analysis on received waste streams for accuracy in the listed shipping description, waste codes and profile descriptions. Adheres to proper safety and housekeeping practices. Assists quality control, R & D, and manufacturing operations as needed. Responsible for communication needed to insure smooth shift-to-shift transitions. All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualities Required:
High school diploma or equivalency. 1+ year experience working in a lab. At least 2 years of college chemistry, a four year degree preferred, unless work experience supports the same level of knowledge. Self-motivated, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work alone and with a team. Detail orientated with strong organizational skills. Computer skills are a plus. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
Training Requirements:
All employees are given training prior to starting. All employees receive on-the-job training, and will participate in safety/training meetings. 1. OSHA Right-To-Know
