Pay Range:
$22/hr - $25/hr We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician / Technologist to support new product development and prototype testing within an electrical products research and development environment. This role will work closely with scientists and engineering teams to conduct experiments, evaluate materials and product constructions, maintain laboratory operations, and document test results. Responsibilities Support prototype testing and laboratory experiments for new product development. Work closely with scientists and cross-functional teams to conduct experiments and evaluate materials and product constructions. Perform laboratory testing according to established procedures and project requirements. Accurately document observations, test results, and experimental data in technical notebooks. Assist with data summarization, technical reports, and communication of test results to project teams. Coordinate equipment calibration activities to help ensure accurate and reliable test results. Perform routine laboratory activities, including sample preparation, storage, shipping, and inventory management. Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Manage multiple project assignments while prioritizing tasks and meeting project timelines. Follow laboratory safety procedures and required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. Qualifications Associate degree or two-year technical degree from an accredited institution preferred. Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific or technical discipline is a plus. Minimum of one year of experience working in a laboratory environment. Ability to follow established laboratory procedures and accurately document experimental results. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple assignments with limited supervision. Self-motivated and proactive approach to laboratory and project work. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with adhesives, tapes, polymers, or related materials. Experience supporting product development or prototype testing. Experience working on cross-functional research or engineering teams. Experience with laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance. Previous experience in an industrial or product development laboratory.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
