Shift B - Day Shift, Back Half of the Week Role Overview BEPC is seeking a Gas Operations Technician to support our client's semiconductor manufacturing operations in Austin, TX. This is a hands-on technical opportunity for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to workplace safety, and an interest in building a career in industrial gas and chemical operations. In this role, you will help safely operate and maintain gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems that support semiconductor manufacturing. Technicians work in a highly safety-focused environment and receive approximately three weeks of on-the-job training to develop the technical skills required for the position. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, oil and gas, chemical operations, automotive repair, wastewater treatment, power plants, refineries, production environments, or military mechanical roles are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Safely operate assigned gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems. Handle and perform change-outs of gas, chemical, and slurry containers. Troubleshoot gas and chemical equipment and perform preventive and repair maintenance. Use computer systems to support daily job functions and customer requirements. Follow established quality systems, operating procedures, and safety requirements. Complete required hazardous communication and site-specific safety training. Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when necessary. Maintain a strong safety-first approach while working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position.

Candidates must be able to:

Walk approximately 5-6 miles during a workday. Lift up to 40 pounds. Bend at the knees and perform overhead reaching. Occasionally climb a tanker truck while using appropriate fall protection. Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hard hats, hearing protection, chemical aprons, gloves, safety footwear, and respiratory equipment. Wear a supplied breathing-air respirator for certain chemical-related tasks, typically for approximately 10-15 minutes when required. Successfully complete required Fit for Duty evaluations, including a pulmonary function test, audiogram, and physical examination. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Ability to read and speak English as required to understand safety instructions, procedures, and workplace communications. Strong mechanical aptitude. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and following established safety procedures. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position. Preferred Previous experience in maintenance, equipment technician, mechanical, electronic, manufacturing, or industrial environments. Experience working with gas or chemical distribution equipment. Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn. Effective communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Military technical or mechanical training is highly valued. Candidates with transferable hands-on experience from military service, manufacturing, oil and gas, chemical operations, industrial mechanics, production, biotechnology, automotive repair, wastewater treatment, power generation, or refinery environments are encouraged to apply.
