Odessa, TX About ZL Chemicals Ltd. ZL Chemicals Ltd. is a leading provider of advanced chemical solutions for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and energy applications. We specialize in developing and manufacturing high-performance friction reducers and other specialty chemical products designed to improve operational efficiency and suitability for our customers. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Technician to support operations at frac sites across the region. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support, troubleshooting equipment, supporting customer operations, and ensuring optimal performance of ZL Chemicals' mobile chemical treatment units.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day technical support to customers at frac sites related to ZL Chemicals' mobile chemical treatment units Build strong working relationships with frac crew personnel and provide ongoing operational support during equipment operation and maintenance Conduct operational training for customer frac crew staff at field locations Troubleshoot and perform basic corrective maintenance on mobile chemical treatment units Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment including: Flow meters Pressure transducers Level and rotating sensors Electric motors, pumps, and augers Data acquisition systems Complete preventative maintenance schedules and document findings accurately Prepare and submit daily frac site reports in a timely manner Communicate customer feedback and operational improvement suggestions to the
Regional Supervisor Qualifications :
Experience in a junior oil & gas service-based field technical role Experience working at frac sites within the US oil & gas industry Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair motors, pumps, flow meters, level sensors, pressure sensors, and related equipment Understanding of electronic principles, circuits, and systems Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced field environments Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Willingness to travel extensively to job sites across the region and beyond (approximately 70% travel) Why Join ZL Chemicals Ltd.?
