Clean Harbors is actively seeking a dedicated Cleanpack Chemist to join our Environmental Health & Safety team. This role is pivotal in assisting our mission to ensure the safe and compliant handling, processing, and disposal of chemical materials. Work in an environment that puts safety and the environment at the forefront with a team dedicated to making a real-world impact. Responsibilities Identification and classification of chemical and hazardous materials according to safety and regulatory aspects. Packaging, labeling, and preparing chemical materials for transportation in compliance with DOT and EPA regulations. Conducting chemical analysis and compatibility tests to ensure safe and effective processing and disposal. Maintaining accurate records and logs of all activities and analyses for compliance and operational standards. Providing technical support and training to team members regarding the handling and management of hazardous materials. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance chemical management systems and procedures. Ensuring all practices align with company sustainability goals and legal environmental standards. Required Skills Proficiency in chemical analysis tools and instruments Strong understanding of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations Excellent communication and organizational skills Capability to handle and manage Hazardous Materials Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
