Job Description

Key Responsibilities Perform routine and troubleshooting vibration data collection and analysis on compressors, pumps, turbines, fans, and other rotating machinery. Utilize portable and online vibration monitoring systems (e.g., Emerson CSI, SKF, Bently Nevada) to diagnose mechanical faults such as imbalance, misalignment, bearing defects, looseness, and resonance. Develop and maintain equipment vibration databases and trend analysis reports. Recommend corrective actions and work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to implement solutions. Support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations. Assist in the development and continuous improvement of the plant's Predictive Maintenance (PdM) program. Conduct periodic route-based data collection and analyze data using time waveform, FFT spectra, and phase analysis. Train and mentor junior technicians on vibration analysis best practices. Ensure all work complies with company safety standards, API, and ISO vibration standards.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
ISO Category II or III Vibration Analyst certification (required). Category IV preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on vibration analysis experience in an industrial environment, preferably in oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical facilities. Strong knowledge of rotating equipment (centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, etc.). Proficient with vibration analysis software and tools (Emerson, SKF, etc.). Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, and OEM manuals. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills. High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred. Must be able to work in a plant environment, including climbing, lifting, and working in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Pay:
$25.81 - $31.09 per hour
