Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a Pack Chemist to support our environmental and industrial services operations. In this field-based role, you will identify, categorize, and consolidate chemical wastes, prepare and label containers, complete regulatory documentation, and ensure safe loading for transport. You'll collaborate with drivers and field technicians, follow strict safety and PPE protocols, and support spill response and industrial cleaning projects. This position offers CDL school sponsorship, ongoing training, and the opportunity to contribute to environmental protection every day. Responsibilities Identify, categorize, and segregate chemical and hazardous wastes at customer sites Package, label, and prepare drums and containers for safe transport and disposal Complete required manifests, logs, and regulatory documentation accurately Coordinate with CDL drivers and field technicians for loading and routing Follow all safety, PPE, and
HAZWOPER
protocols to minimize risk Conduct basic sampling and testing to verify material identification Assist with spill response, industrial cleaning, and site remediation tasks Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas in clean, safe condition Communicate hazards and procedures clearly to customers and team members Participate in ongoing training and certification programs Required Skills Chemical handling Hazardous waste management CDL truck operation Sampling and testing procedures Safety and PPE compliance Industrial cleaning processes Regulatory documentation (EPA/DOT) Material compatibility knowledge Spill response support Basic data entry and reporting
