Pay Range:
$56,700.00 - $93,300.00 Job Purpose The Advanced Research Associate is responsible for the development of new products as well as making improvements for current products. The purpose of this role is to collaborate with cross-functional teams, design and execute experiments for developing new products based on ISH/IHC-based assays and represent the R D team. Responsibilites Contribute to the development of new advanced spatial biology products and applications using industry and scientific knowledge. Follow experimental design, execute, and document experiments to advance new product development. Analyze, interpret, and summarize data, draw informed conclusions and propose next steps, and regularly present findings in various technical forums. Own basic project deliverables and pieces of complex deliverables, including technical reports, design control documents, SOPs, and user guidance. Execute tasks with high level of day-to-day independence, collaborating both within R D and cross-functionally to achieve deliverables according to defined project timelines. Contributes high-quality technical writing to project deliverables of varying complexity such as technical reports, design control documents, procedures, and protocols. Produces high quality results. Train colleagues on defined procedures, practices, and core technical concepts. Collaborate across teams to support product commercialization. Support the Company's Quality System objectives Qualifications Degree in molecular biology, cell biology, life sciences, or related field. Minimum of
B.S. + 3
years of relevant industry experience, or
M.S. 0-2
years of relevant industry experience.
Skills:
Experience with microscopy, assay development, image analysis, data interpretation, and presentation. Experience with issue-based assays, such as immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) techniques. Experience with standard cell and molecular biology techniques and basic statistical analysis. Ability to independently design experiments, interpret data, and proactively problem-solve. Ability to execute projects with minimal supervision, collaborating with project team members to achieve project goals. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience:
Experience with tissue automated staining instruments such as Leica Bond Rx and Roche Discovery/ etc is preferred Experience with spatial biology platforms such as Lunaphore COMET, Akoya Phenocycler Fusion, etc is preferred Experience documenting experiments within electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) and/or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Demonstrated track record persisting through adversity and failures, overcoming roadblocks, high-pressure situations, and unexpected problems Experience working under design control and within a quality system
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a combination of laboratory and office settings. Regular use of computers, microscopes and standard laboratory equipment. Exposure to biological samples, chemicals, and laboratory reagents, with appropriate safety procedures and PPE provided.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a computer, microscope, or laboratory workstation. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle laboratory equipment, pipettes, and imaging instruments with precision. Visual acuity to distinguish microscopic details, colors, and digital images for accurate analysis. Occasional lifting, moving, or positioning of materials and equipment up to 20 pounds. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including lab coat, gloves, and safety glasses, as required.
