ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY SUMMARY
Currently searching for two (2) Part-time Research Assistants to work in the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department, College of Science, under the supervision of Dr. S. Chantal E. Stieber, Principal Investigator.SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
(this is just a small sampling of work variety): The research assistants will perform scientific experiments to study C-F activation with first row transition metals and/or make tutorial videos for advanced scientific techniques. The research assistants will use organic and inorganic synthetic techniques to make ligands and complexes. The students will characterize ligands and complexes using techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, EPR, X-ray crystallography, and UV-vis spectroscopy, for example. The students will also search the literature, write research reports, and characterize complexes. Proper laboratory safety training, documentation and presentations are also required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Cal Poly Pomona student with background in general chemistry (CHM 1210 or equivalent ).ABOUT US
