Through April 2027, with potential for extension and/or additional opportunities based on business needs and performance Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading consumer products organization known for developing innovative products and solutions designed around performance, quality, and consumer needs. We are seeking a Product Development Chemist to support the creation and development of prototype products from the laboratory through commercialization. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys experimental work, analyzing data, solving technical problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to life. What You'll Do Develop experimental designs and work plans to create prototype products that meet targeted performance requirements. Conduct standard and non-standard chemical, physical, and application testing to evaluate product composition and performance. Review and interpret experimental data, draw preliminary conclusions, and recommend next steps for development activities. Develop or modify test procedures to help address assigned technical and product-development challenges. Work closely with packaging, process development, and manufacturing teams throughout product development and commercialization. Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and accurately document experimental observations, results, and conclusions. Plan and coordinate laboratory experiments, third-party testing, and consumer trials associated with assigned projects. Track project progress, communicate status and issues, and present data and findings to project teams and management. Assist with laboratory demonstrations supporting training programs and customer visits. Maintain inventory of raw materials, laboratory supplies, and equipment while keeping work areas organized and ready for use. Follow all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements when working with laboratory equipment and hazardous materials. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field; an Associate degree may be considered with relevant industrial experience. Experience in product development, formulation, laboratory research, or a related industrial environment. Consumer packaged goods or formulation experience is a plus. Familiarity with detergent chemistry and standard product-development testing methods is highly desirable. Hands-on experience setting up and operating laboratory equipment and conducting research experiments. Ability to analyze experimental data, identify trends, draw preliminary conclusions, and recommend next steps. Strong laboratory documentation and organizational skills. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
