Job Description
Join an innovative clinical-stage pharmaceutical company in Bonita Springs, Florida as a Chemist , supporting hands-on R&D synthesis and purification efforts for differentiated oncology and surgical guidance drugs. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced lab environment where your peptide purification, chromatography, and analytical chemistry experience can directly support life-changing medical advancements. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Chemist position include: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a relevant field with 2-3 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience. Perform purification of novel molecules using liquid extraction, flash chromatography, thin layer chromatography, and preparative HPLC. Assist in the synthesis and preparation of novel ligands, linkers, and chelators. Prepare buffers and solutions to support chemistry activities, in-process analyses, and reaction monitoring. Coordinate chemical inventory stocking and hazardous waste pickup. Demonstrated experience supporting organic synthesis of peptides and small molecules in a professional setting. Ability to isolate small molecules and peptides using extractive and chromatographic techniques at small and large scales. Experience with peptide synthesis, radiochemistry, mass spectrometry, Teledyne/ISCO Combiflash, GMP practices, or Shimadzu instruments is a plus.
