Chemist I Largo, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Microsoft Excel Laboratory instruments Microsoft Outlook English GMP Batch records Data interpretation FDA regulations Full Job Description The Quality Control Chemist I ensures raw materials, finished product, and stability samples are tested in a timely manner and per cGMP documentation requirements.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
ID testing including TLC, FT-IR, composition testing with ability to follow USP monographs and general chapters. Wet Chemistry testing, including loss on drying, Karl Fisher, pH, titrations, and solution preparations. Supports daily laboratory operations including glassware cleaning, solvent waste disposal, daily/ weekly balance calibrations. Support upper level Quality Control Chemists as requested. Strength testing using HPLC, GC, and/ or ICP. Supports Process and Continuous Improvement. All other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Lab Supervisor/Management. Willing to work holidays and weekends as requested by Quality Control Lab Supervisor/Management. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Education /
Experience:
BS degree or higher in Chemistry or related field or equivalent experience.
Entry Level Position Skills Required:
Ability to operate, analyze data, and troubleshoot general lab instrumentation. Ability to perform and interpret data based on internal specifications and USP requirements. Ability to multi task and manage samples efficiently. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to adapt and learn requirements of c
GMP, 21 CFR
111, SOPs, and Batch Records. Knowledge of 21 CFR 210 and 211 desirable. Ability to operate computer software Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel. Must have a good interpersonal and communication skill in English, understand both oral and written instructions and be detail oriented.
Training, Certification or License:
Department cGMP and SOP requirements.
