Operating out of two facilities in Pinellas County, Florida—located just 13 minutes apart—HBM is structured for efficient production, coordination, and growth. With a focus on reliability, speed to market, and consistent product performance, HBM supports clients through private label, custom, and contract manufacturing solutions tailored to meet a wide range of product and scaling needs. We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Formulator III with expertise in gummy supplements, liquid dietary supplements, and cosmeceutical skincare products . This role is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, take ownership of projects from early feasibility through pilot scale-up and manufacturing handoff, and solve formulation and process challenges with minimal oversight. This position is ideal for someone with deep gummy formulation experience, strong technical judgment, and the ability to manage both formulation projects and broader R D initiatives through completion. Responsibilities Develop and optimize formulations for: Gummy supplements , including pectin gummies manufactured on starchless depositing lines Liquid supplements including solutions, suspensions, emulsions, syrups, and shots Cosmeceuticals including creams, serums, lotions, gels, cleansers, and toners Take ownership of formulation projects from quote and feasibility review through prototype development, optimization, pilot scale-up, and manufacturing handoff. Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges and develop practical solutions with minimal guidance. Evaluate ingredient functionality, compatibility, and manufacturing suitability. Maintain clear and organized formulation and development documentation. Support scale-up activities through pilot and production. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Regulatory, Sales, suppliers, and leadership as needed to move projects forward. Identify raw material alternatives and support ingredient substitutions when necessary.. Take ownership of additional R D or company projects as assigned and drive them to completion. Serve as a technical resource to other members of the R D team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of hands-on gummy formulation experience required. Strong experience developing, troubleshooting, and scaling gummy formulations from lab through commercial manufacturing. Strong self-organization, prioritization, documentation, and follow-through , with the ability to independently manage multiple projects and keep work moving with limited oversight. Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions with limited oversight. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to dietary supplements and cosmetics, including ingredient usage, labeling, and claims considerations. Additional experience with liquid dietary supplements and/or topical skincare / cosmeceuticals is preferred.
