Develops and implements research and development procedures and techniques. Oversees research projects, analyzes results and provides recommendations based on findings.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage new product development projects and innovation. Formulate and test cosmetic and skin care products. Make use of current research to develop functional skin care, test products for safety. Provide input into improving manufacturing processes. Knowledge of HACCP principles including verification and validation activities. Assist other teams and provide them with necessary services to ensure quality in their functions. Implement continuous improvement enhancements in the quality area by setting goals and identifying key performance indicators. Develop new procedures to ensure production of quality products, as well as cost effective reductions.

QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED

Education:

Bachelors degree in Chemistry or relevant field of study, required

Experience:

3+ years in an R & D position, preferably Cosmetics and /or Health and Beauty aids. Other Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

Working environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will generally work in an office environment. Some tasks may require working in a manufacturing environment where appropriate attire and safety equipment are required.
