Scientist or Sr. Scientist

Arclin is seeking talent for a Scientist or Sr. Scientist role to be filled at a level commensurate with previous work experience . The research position will be located in Macon, GA. This position will be reporting to the R&T Director, and will be focused on driving profitable growth through the development, refinement, and application development of highly relevant and differentiated, value-added chemical products. The chemical researcher will leverage both hard and soft skills including technical acumen, creativity, problem solving, project management, communication, mentorship, and collaboration within a fast-paced team environment.

Job Responsibilities :

Maintains a clean and safe lab environment in compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Assists R D Director in:

Overseeing day-to-day assigned project activities . Monitoring and reporting on overall project progress Critically reviewing technical literature to understand the prior art pertinent to the team's development projects Compiling of data and write-up of illustrative examples needed to support the filing of Patent Applications. • 15 years of relevant industrial working experience Specialization in Colloidal Surface Chemistry Working Knowledge Of Rheology and rheology modification concepts Surfactant chemistry Particle science, inorganic pigments, colloids and industrial minerals Surface modification chemistries Utilization of waterborne polymers as binders, thickeners, rheology modifiers, dispersants & flocculant s to solve problems in various application areas Non-halogenated flame retardant chemistries Analytical methods for the characterization and study of colloids & chemical products Statistics and Design of Experiments Intellectual property protection, patent development knowledge Ability to author/co-author papers for presentation at industry trade-shows Regulatory requirements for chemical products such as TSCA, REACH, FDA, DOT, OSHA, etc.
