Description:

Actively Interviewing for a Formulation Chemist to join personal care and cosmetic brand company in Stonecrest, GA! Description This position is responsible for supporting the innovation pipeline for hair and skin care products globally. Under the supervision of the R D Supervisor, this position supports the development, execution, and technical activation of the new hair and skin Innovation portfolio, with a focus on exceptional quality and timely delivery.

Essential Duties:

Contribute to product development by creating and refining formulas, and conducting stability, compatibility, physical, chemical, and performance testing. Create, implement, and review product procedures and specifications according to industry and company standards. Standardize and accurately document approved formulas to create final Master Formulas, including product specifications, blending procedures, raw material sources, and testing results. Source new raw material samples from vendors and suppliers and collaborate with procurement to identify sourcing channels for large-scale ordering. Evaluate potential raw material and packaging component alternatives for compatibility. Collaborate with the Compounding team to execute production batches and ensure scale-ups and technology transfers run smoothly between R D and Production. Stay up to date on new technologies, market trends, and raw materials to help advance innovation within the lab. Work with the Regulatory team to provide documentation and build complete dossiers for each product and raw material. Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Lab Practices (GLP), including proper documentation procedures. Participate in process and protocol improvement in the lab and manufacturing area to increase efficiency, safety, and quality. Participate in cross-departmental meetings with teams such as sales, marketing, and operations. Investigate and resolve technical issues by conducting root-cause analysis and recommending effective solutions. Participate in trainings and seminars to build knowledge and improve productivity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

Bachelors degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Three to five years of relevant experience in the cosmetic industry, preferably in hair or skin care formulation and manufacturing. Able to work independently and within a team. Exhibits good judgment, accountability, dependability, planning skills, and business acumen. Resourceful and determined, with a strong ability to solve problems creatively. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent knowledge of management methods and continuous improvement techniques. Working knowledge of ERP systems and databases. Awareness of the industry's latest technology trends and applications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stonecrest, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
