Founded in 1919, AUC moved to a new 270-acre state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo in 2008. Job Description:
The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a full-time, faculty position in Computational/Theoretical Chemistry. We seek a colleague dedicated to teaching in a liberal arts and sciences environment, who will actively contribute to student advising, curriculum development, and departmental service. The successful candidate will be expected to integrate innovative teaching methods and participate in the academic life of the university.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Teach graduate courses in the Chemistry MSc program, as well as introductory and upper-level undergraduate chemistry courses.
Research & Supervision:
Supervise graduate (MS, PhD) and undergraduate student research theses. Maintain an ongoing and active research program.
Academic Service:
Participate in committee work, curricular development, and other services at the Department, School, and University levels.
Community and Outreach:
Engage in student organization advising and community outreach activities.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computational/Theoretical Chemistry. A proven record of high-quality teaching. A strong research and publication record in international, peer-reviewed journals, with evidence of primary authorship. International exposure in teaching and research in computational/theoretical chemistry and modeling. Strong leadership capability or demonstrated potential. Mastery of the English language.
