Chemist II#26-11690 $32.84-$34.96 per hour North Chicago, IL
All On-site Job Description Job Description:
The candidate will maintain laboratory equipment (HPLCs, UV/Vis) and chemical inventories. The candidate will develop and execute HPLC separation work to support the development of antibodies and related modalities. Under supervision, the candidate will conduct analytical development and characterization for antibodies and other modalities as a member of the analytical research development team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining good documentation practices and generating and analyzing precise, reliable, and reproducible data in a timely manner.
Skills:
HPLC skill is must. UV-Vis skill is preferred but not required MS in chemistry with no industrial experience, or a bachelor's degree in chemistry with 2+ years of relevant experience. Experience performing analytical chemistry research, specifically HPLC related research in either an academic or industrial setting is required.
Qualifications:
Experience with HPLC separation is required. MS in chemistry with no industrial experience, or a bachelor's degree in chemistry with 2+ years of relevant experience. Experience performing analytical chemistry research in either an academic or industrial setting. Demonstrated proficiency in developing, troubleshooting, and modifying chromatographic methods. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
