Your 'day to day' Lead complex analytical investigations, developing and implementing advanced methodologies to enhance in-house analytical capabilities and drive cross-functional collaboration. Execute detailed analysis of special project samples using a wide range of advanced instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques. Design, develop, optimize, and implement analytical methods to support evolving business and scientific needs. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated analytical instrumentation, including UHPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and GC-MS Headspace systems. Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies to expand internal analytical capabilities and support innovative project work. Report to the Senior Manager of Analytical Science while partnering with cross-functional teams across PMIUS to deliver critical analytical insights for special projects. Who we're looking for: PhD in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of five years of experience as an Analytical Chemist or in a comparable technical role. Proven ability to organize, manage, and execute special projects effectively, including training and mentoring others in both fundamental laboratory techniques and advanced instrumentation. Strong expertise in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced analytical instrumentation.
Comprehensive experience in:
Analytical and Organic Chemistry Gas Chromatography (GC) and Ion Chromatography (IC) Method development and optimization Microscopy techniques UHPLC-MS/MS and GC-MS systems Experimental design (DOE) and advanced problem-solving methodologies Proficient in laboratory and data management software and tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LIMS, Chromeleon, Chemstation, OpenLab CDS, and ECM systems.
Annual Base Salary Range:
