Role Overview The Laboratory Scientist is responsible for supporting and executing experimental work to complete analytical service projects, for supporting the development of chemical and biopharmaceutical testing equipment and innovative applications, and for distributing our expertise in the form of demonstrations and training. Key Responsibilities Support and execute Analytical Service experiments for customer samples Support and execute development projects. Participate in maintaining the analytical laboratory. Support general lab work by media and reagent preparation. Prepare and follow relevant documentation to support Analytical Service operations; SOP, protocols, etc. Support development efforts to enhance the hardware and software aspects of Pion equipment. Support the global sales effort with customer meetings and demonstrations as required Provide l training courses for end users, channel partners and internal customers. Contribute to the safe operation of Pion Analytical laboratories Competencies & Attributes Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong attention to detail Laboratory skills Travel This position is onsite 100% in our Billerica, MA office Requires up to 5% domestic and/or international travel Travel may include customer training, attendance at conferences, or training events Job Requirements Ability to travel up to 5% Valid driver's license and passport Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Education & Experience Required Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline (Biochemistry preferred) 1+ years of relevant industry experience Experience with analytical assays Proficiency with MS Office applications Preferred Master's degree in relevant scientific discipline What Success Looks Like Customers are highly satisfied with Analytical Services Lab protocols are followed and documented Analytical Services team is coherent and communicative Why Join Pion Be part of a respected scientific company entering an exciting new growth phase Work with enhanced technologies impacting modern drug development Operate in a role where scientific expertise directly influences commercial success Collaborate with experienced, passionate colleagues across functions Competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities Applicants for this position must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship.
