Worcester, Massachusetts job type: Contract salary: $59.00 - 68.25 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform LC-MS experiments on intact proteins, sequence verification, and post-translational modification profiling.
Execute separation assays and variant fractionation using HPLC, UPLC, and AKTA systems.
Support process development through biophysical characterization (DSC) and raw material analysis using vibrational spectroscopy.
Design and execute experiments for method development, validation, and complex technical investigations.
Draft protocols, method development reports, and maintain precise electronic laboratory notebooks.
Maintain laboratory equipment and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous process innovation.
qualifications:
Required:
BS with 5+ years or MS with 2+ years of biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience.
Hands-on expertise with protein mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and liquid chromatography (HPLC/UPLC/AKTA).Fundamental understanding of protein structure, post-translational modifications, and analytical characterization methods.
Excellent written/oral communication, organization, and multitasking capabilities.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of bioinformatics tools for LC-MS data processing.
