Job Description

Orafol Americas is a preferred Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier to some of the world's leading automotive manufacturers. We specialize in the design, development, and manufacture of high-quality automotive graphics and functional films. Our product portfolio includes a broad range of wrap films in various colors and technologies, including cast and calendered films, digital print films, carbon fiber finishes, and specialty effects such as iridescent and pearlescent films. We also offer the VWS line of solid gloss and matte colors. We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to join our team. This position will play an important role in supporting the development, testing, and quality of our innovative film products. Job Summary We are presently seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist in our Quality Lab who will be responsible for: The daily performance of chemical analysis using a GC/MS, FTIR, Microscopy, Instron, Rheometer, and other scientific equipment. Conducting data compilation, graphing, trend-charting as well as analysis and interpretation of compiled data. Conducting tests on raw and finished materials to determine conformity to standards. Review and Interpret data outputs to identify differences between materials and establish reasons. Organizing and controlling library of composition of raw and finished materials. Maintenance and calibration of equipment Job Requirements A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related physical science field. 2+ years of experience in laboratory environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to lift 35 pounds - sit or stand 8 hours
