(Purpose of the Position): The Natural Science and Mathematics Student Action Team Member works under the supervision of a faculty member with supervision from the Associate Dean of the FNSM. Students in these positions will be part of a team that examines practices in the Natural Science and Mathematics Departments and considers strategies that may result in practices that are more inclusive and equitable. Team members may be expected to explore existing research on inclusive STEM practices and explore student's experiences as STEM majors at St. Olaf by surveying students and leading focus groups. Student Action Team Members will then be expected to effectively summarize their findings in writing and to periodically give presentations to small groups of faculty, staff and students.Transferable Skills:
